This Monday, our mixed Year 5&6 team took part in an exciting athletics competition at Southwark Park Athletics Centre.

On the track, girls and boys competed in events from the speedy 60m sprint to slogging it out for the 800m race. Our brilliant athletes truly emptied the tank in tackling these challenges.

The gritty team were not deterred by taking on field events that they had never experienced before, proving that they could jump and throw with the best in Southwark. Year 5&6 really shone in the 4x100m, 4x200m and 4x400m relays where our young people proved their teamwork strengths to get that baton over the finish line. We are so proud that our children gave it all they had and showed incredible resilience, inclusiveness and teamwork. What a team! Well done to everyone.

A big shout out to Lina who modelled true sportsmanship by making sure the younger athletes got to finish their races. What an inspiration!
