On Tuesday, Year 5 visited the British Museum to learn more about Ancient Egypt. Our first stop was the Egyptian sculpture gallery where we found hieroglyphs carved into stone.
In the middle stood the iconic Rosetta Stone – we were completely in awe of it! We explored the upper galleries where we took in the colourful and ornate coffins. Year 5 had lot to say about the lifestyle of Ancient Egyptians and how mummies were made.
The top choice was the mummified cats which were considered sacred. A big thank you to all the parent helpers who supported us on the trip!
